This course aims to help students understand the role of an escort interpreter and the skills for doing escort interpretation. This type of interpreting is typically less formal than other forms of interpreting such as simultaneous or consecutive interpreting, and is often used for meet-and-greet, a sightseeing tour, helping foreign guests to visit a city/site, event hosting and so on.

        This course focuses on building students' knowledge of introducing Taiwan to foreigners in English, accompanied with trainings for on-site campus tours as well as English for exhibitions.
